Call for Reviewers Process
Thank you for your interest in acting as a HIMSS Asia Conference Reviewer. If you have any questions regarding involvement in this process, please feel free to email your questions to Eileen Sung, Education Manager for Asia & Middle East, at esung@himss.org.
HIMSS Conference Reviewers are the backbone of the HIMSS Conference educational process. Reviewers are the first to see proposals submitted to HIMSS through the call process. Reviewers and their recommendations are incredibly important to HIMSS Asia Organising Committee and the role that they play in the proposal selection process.

Reviewer Responsibilities
Review and score online proposals:
Reviewers will review annual conference proposals submitted to the HIMSS Asia Call For Papers. The review process will be done electronically and you will be provided with specific criteria by which to review the proposals. A reviewer may expect to review and evaluate/score an average of 6-12 proposals in a given topic area. Submitted proposals include the speaker information, proposal content and abstract.
Recommend Proposals for the Organising Committee:
After reading and evaluating the proposals, reviewers will recommend proposals to move forward to the HIMSS Asia Organising Committee.
Please note, to comply with the recently amended rules and regulations of our continuing medical education (CME) provider, preference in the choice of reviewers will be given to those who represent organizations with non-commercial interests.
Reviewer’s Time Commitment
Please keep in mind that this is a time commitment on your part. Reviewers may be required to participate in 1-2 conference calls. Additional time will be spent evaluating proposals. Each evaluation can take from 10-30 minutes per proposal, and as a reviewer you will review around 6-12 proposals. Please take this time commitment into consideration when considering applying to act as a reviewer.
